Transparent connections

A unitary connection is said be transparent if its parallel
transport along every closed geodesic is the identity.
I this talk I will explain how to classify all transparent
$SU(2)$-connections over a closed negatively curved surface.
If time permits I will also discuss transparent pairs $(A,\Phi)$,
where $A$ is a connection and $\Phi$ is a Higgs field.
