Additive polynomials, numerical semigroups, and curves defined by infinitesimal automorphisms
Lundi, 20 Février, 2023 - 14:00
Résumé :

Quasielliptic curves play a key role in the Bombieri--Mumford
extension of the Enriques classification of algebraic surfaces to
positive characteristics. They are, however, confined to the primes
two and three.
Here we define for all p>0 certain curves of higher genus that should be
regarded as the natural generalizations of quasielliptic curves. The idea
is to construct the automorphism group scheme first, and build the curve
around it. This relies on the theory of additive polynomials and
numerical semigroups, together with recent results by Michel Brion. My
talk is
on work in progress, joint with Cesar Hilario.
