Introduction of the Navier-Stokes equations and the motion of a rigid body in liquid.

In physics, the Navier-Stokes equations describe the motion of visous fluid substances. A first part of the presentation is concerned with some modeling aspects and properties about these equations. Then, I will introduce one of the seven most important open problems on Naveir-Stokes equations proposed by the Clay Mathematics Institute in 2000. The last part of this presentation will concentrate on my research topic : evanescence of a moving rigid body in an incompressible viscous fluid.
