In order to find explicit (motivic) cell structures for certain homogeneous spaces, we introduce a new description for them, using split forms of the classical division algebras of complex, quaternionic and octonionic numbers. We construct the attaching maps for the cell structures using algebro-geometric means. Their geometric realization can be identified, up to homotopy, with the classical Hopf maps.
