MAT432: Sequences and series of functions.
2019-2020 - L2 Math-Info International

Exercise sheets :
Sheet 1 - Some reminders on real numbers, sequences, and series.
DM - Due Wed 29/01.

Sheet 2.
Final exam.

Resources:
"But what is a Fourier series? From heat flow to circle drawings" by YouTube user 3Blue1Brown
"But what is the Fourier Transform? A visual introduction" by YouTube user 3Blue1Brown
"Epicycles, complex Fourier series and Homer Simpson's orbit" by YouTube user Mathologer

Some (optional) further reading:
The books below are well-written and recommended, but as supplementary material if you have the time, or want to learn more; hence, they are not necessary for the course. Conversely, they are not substitutes for attending classes.

Rudin, Walter - Principles of Mathematical Analysis, Chapters 7 and 8.
Be careful, there are other books by the same author with similar names, which are intended for completely different courses!
Amann, Herbert; Escher, Joachim - Analysis I, Chapter V.
Bressoud, David - A Radical Approach to Real Analysis.
This one takes a different direction, more historical, with many small exercises. It is a great tool to build intuition for Fourier series!
