6.27.25  Converting a series expansion into a polynomial: convert convertir

The convert command (see Section 6.23.26), with the option polynom, converts a series (see Section 6.36.2) into a polynomial. It should be used for operations like drawing the graph of the Taylor series of a function near a point.

For this purpose:

• convert takes two arguments:
  • series, a series.
  • polynom, the option.
• convert(series,polynom) returns series with the order_size function replaced by 0.

Examples.

• Input:
  convert(taylor(sin(x)),polynom)
  Output:

• Input:
  convert(series(sin(x),x=0,6),polynom)
  Output:
