Rigorous derivation of three-dimensional, time-dependent point interactions
Monday, 7 October, 2019 - 13:30
Résumé :
Time-dependent point interactions are a useful toy model to capture many relevant features of physical systems, most notably the ionization of electrons in atoms or crystals. In this talk I will discuss how such interactions could emerge as an effective model, in a realistic microscopic system coupling a particle with a quantum phonon field. Based on a joint work with R. Carlone, M. Correggi, and M. Olivieri.
